Woman charged after man shot at Greenville apartment complex
GREENVILLE — A Greenville woman has been charged after police said a man was shot Tuesday during a domestic dispute at Riverwalk Apartments at 738 W. Union St., authorities said.
Officers with the Greenville Police Department responded Feb. 17 to a report of a shooting, police said. When officers arrived, they made contact with a female inside the residence who told them a male victim was in a bathroom with a gunshot wound, according to police.
The victim was transported to Delta Health System for treatment, police said. Investigators charged 28-year-old Larineisha Askew of Greenville with one count of domestic aggravated assault. She is awaiting an initial appearance, police said.
Police said additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
