Tupelo police, Crime Stoppers seek suspects in credit card fraud
TUPELO, Miss. — Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi and the Tupelo Police Department are asking the public to help identify people involved in multiple credit card fraud cases reported March 13 in and around Tupelo, Crime Stoppers said Thursday.
Investigators released photos of the suspects and urged anyone who recognizes them or has information about the incidents to come forward, Crime Stoppers said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at 800-773-TIPS or submit an anonymous tip through the P3 Tips app, officials said. Crime Stoppers said it is offering up to $2,000 in cash for information that leads to an arrest and that tipsters can remain anonymous.
Crime Stoppers programs typically partner with local law enforcement to collect anonymous tips and offer rewards to encourage public assistance in solving crimes. Credit card fraud can lead to financial loss and identity theft for victims, and police often rely on community leads to identify suspects.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
