Tupelo man arrested on cyberstalking charge after online threats reported
TUPELO, Mississippi — A Tupelo man was arrested on a cyberstalking charge after a victim reported weeks of online harassment and threats, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Police said the initial report was filed March 31, 2026, after the victim told investigators someone had been harassing and threatening him through online applications. After further investigation, officers arrested 28-year-old Kiantae J. Fair of Tupelo on April 9 and charged him with one count of cyberstalking, police said.
On April 10, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Fair held on a $4,000 bond, according to the police department. The department said the case will be presented to the Lee County grand jury.
Cyberstalking generally refers to repeated harassment or threats transmitted through electronic communications such as social media or messaging apps and is treated as a criminal offense when it poses a credible threat or constitutes persistent intimidation. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
