Thieves steal custom smoker from Rouses Market
Rouses Market said a custom smoker and trailer were stolen from its store at 3164 Bienville Blvd., the company reported March 4, 2026. Investigators believe the equipment was taken sometime between Feb. 28 and March 4.
The smoker sat on a single-axle trailer with two wheels and featured a mesh grating near the hitch. A large letter “R” was engraved into the mesh to represent Rouses, and the entire trailer was painted black. The market said the trailer differs from one used at its Biloxi location. The trailer and grill are valued at approximately $3,000.
The Facebook post included a photograph of a similar grill from the Biloxi store but noted the pictured unit is not the stolen unit. Rouses said it wants the smoker returned so shoppers can once again enjoy its prepared barbecue. The post directs anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by phone; no phone number was included in the post.
