STARKVILLE, Mississippi — The Starkville Police Department thanked residents, businesses and organizations for turning out to support Corporal Colby Huffman and his family, the department said in a post on its Facebook page.
“Thank you to everyone who came out today to support Corporal Colby Huffman and his family. We’re grateful for our community that continues to show up and stand together,” the post said, adding special thanks to Blue Plate Mafia and Village Cycle Center for helping make the event possible.
The Starkville Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Starkville and its surrounding areas. Community events and public demonstrations of support for officers and their families are common ways residents and local businesses show solidarity with first responders.
