Rankin County deputies join Dogwood Easter Festival
Rankin County deputies joined the community at the Dogwood Easter Festival this past Saturday, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
The post said deputies “had a wonderful time” and added that events like these remind the office how important it is to build strong relationships with the community it serves. The sheriff’s office is the primary law enforcement agency for Rankin County, Mississippi, responsible for patrol, investigations and community policing.
The post also said the event had a huge turnout and that it went well. Community festivals such as Easter celebrations typically provide occasions for families to gather and for local agencies to conduct outreach, answer questions and share public safety information.
Law enforcement participation in public events is part of broader community-policing efforts aimed at building trust and cooperation between residents and officers. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
