Police seek help identifying suspect in Ocean Springs assault
The Ocean Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying an individual shown in a post by Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers who detectives say was involved in an aggravated assault at a Government Street restaurant on Feb. 28, 2026, around 10:08 p.m.
Investigators said they believe the individual may be from the Hattiesburg area and asked anyone with information to submit the person’s name and where he resides or works. To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted through Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling TIPS. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the post noted.
Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers is a community-based program that works with local law enforcement to collect anonymous tips and, when appropriate, offer rewards for information that leads to arrests. The Ocean Springs Police Department is the municipal agency responsible for public safety in the city on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and often partners with Crime Stoppers on investigations.
Police said public tips can be crucial to identifying suspects and ensuring community safety. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
