Pike County sheriff continues highway litter campaign
Pike County Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones is continuing a countywide litter campaign to remove trash from state highways and county roads, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
The post identified a recent cleanup location as Magee Road and Robb Street Extension and credited the Mississippi Department of Transportation and Commissioner Charles Busby with donating a cleanup truck for the effort, the office said.
The sheriff’s office said Correctional Officer Kim Wallace and inmates led the cleanup. The post also extended thanks to the McComb Rotary Club and Victor’s Tint & Graphics for providing decals and to other donors for their support.
The office said the campaign reflects its commitment to keeping Pike County clean, safe and beautiful and used the department motto “Service Before Self.” The Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department provided the information. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
