Pike County adds analyst to ICAC task force
Pike County Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones announced Monday that Intelligence Analyst Aaron Adams joined the Mississippi Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force as an affiliate member on March 16, 2026. The task force, run by the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, investigates online child exploitation across the state, and the sheriff said the addition strengthens local efforts to protect children.
Adams will work alongside Lieutenant Detective Javonda Shanks of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, who has been an affiliate member of the ICAC Task Force since 2024, the sheriff’s office said. Former Pike detectives and McComb residents Matthew Travis and Max Adams serve as full-time members of the ICAC Task Force under the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
“I’m proud of Aaron and all of the ICAC members who help keep our communities safe from child predators. He will be a great addition to the unit and brings a lot of talent to the table. We will continue to partner with the MS Attorney General and the ICAC Unit for years to come,” Sheriff Jones said.
The ICAC Task Force model pairs state and local law enforcement to investigate and prosecute online child exploitation. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office said the affiliation reflects its ongoing commitment to combating online threats to children. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
