Pascagoula police search for missing runaway teen

PASCAGOULA, Miss. — The Pascagoula Police Department is asking the public for help locating a missing runaway teen, officials said Monday.

Police said Melody Chandler was last seen leaving her residence in the area of Ingalls Avenue on Feb. 22, 2026. Chandler is described as 5-foot-4 and weighing about 200 pounds, with purple or auburn-colored hair.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Pascagoula Police Department at 228-762-2211, the department said.

The Pascagoula Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the city of Pascagoula on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Missing-teen reports raise particular concern because young people who run away can be vulnerable to exploitation, accidents or other dangers, officials and advocates say.

Authorities have provided limited details about Chandler’s circumstances and the search. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
