Pascagoula police host mobile driver’s license unit today

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — The Pascagoula Police Department announced that the Mobile Mississippi Driver’s License unit will be in Pascagoula today. The unit will be set up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the WIN Job Center parking lot, officials said.

Residents will be able to renew, replace or obtain a Mississippi driver’s license or a Mississippi identification card, the department said. Standard fees apply, and applicants must bring the required documentation.

Officials said the mobile unit provides a convenient opportunity for citizens to update their licenses locally. Mobile licensing units are commonly used to reduce travel time and long waits at regional offices by bringing services to community locations.

Having a current driver’s license or state identification can be important for driving, verifying identity and accessing other public and private services. The presence of a mobile unit can be especially helpful for residents who have limited transportation or tight schedules.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
