Oxford Police welcome four officers after MDCC academy graduation

OXFORD, Mississippi — The Oxford Police Department said it is welcoming four new officers after they graduated from the MDCC Law Enforcement Training Academy. The department identified the graduates as Blake Cain, Nick Davis, Charles Hefner and Keaton Varnon.

The department said Cain was recognized as Top Cop, served as Platoon Leader 2 and placed second in fitness. Davis earned Top Academic honors, and Hefner placed second in shooting. The department said all four officers scored 93% or higher in their evaluations and successfully completed the Road Warrior Challenge.

The Oxford Police Department posted the announcement on its official Facebook page, praising the officers for their hard work and dedication. The MDCC Law Enforcement Training Academy provides basic training, physical assessments and classroom instruction for aspiring law enforcement officers.

The department invited the community to congratulate the graduates and welcome them back to the streets of Oxford. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
