Oxford Police Department welcomes officer Ben Parrish
The Oxford Police Department announced on its Facebook page that Ben Parrish is joining the department as an officer and welcomed him to the force.
The department said it is excited to have Parrish on board and looks forward to the service he will provide to the community. The post invited residents to join in welcoming him to OPD.
Police departments typically assign new officers to patrol, community engagement, traffic enforcement and response to emergency calls as they complete field training. Departments also emphasize community policing and building relationships with residents to improve public safety and trust.
Hiring new officers can help maintain staffing levels, support public safety goals and sustain regular patrol and investigative functions. The Oxford Police Department did not provide additional details about Parrish’s background or start date in its post.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
