Mississippi Public Safety Summit set for May 19-22
The fourth annual Mississippi Public Safety Summit will take place May 19-22, organizers said, and Commissioner Sean Tindell and Attorney General Lynn Fitch are inviting the public and public safety professionals to attend the free event. Registration is available at https://www.mspublicsafetysummit.com/.
The summit is billed as a multi-day gathering aimed at bringing together law enforcement officers, emergency responders, policymakers and community leaders to discuss training, coordination and best practices. Organizers say the event offers opportunities for networking and professional development.
Public safety summits typically focus on improving interagency communication and sharing strategies to respond to natural disasters, crime and other emergencies. For Mississippi, such events can help local and state officials align resources and update procedures that affect community safety.
Commissioner Tindell and Attorney General Fitch encouraged participation in what they described as a free, impactful event. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
