Mississippi DPS starts Cadet Class 70
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety posted on its official Facebook page that “Day one of Cadet Class #70” is under way.
The department, which oversees statewide public safety functions including the Mississippi Highway Patrol, said the post signaled the start of recruit training but provided no further details on class size, schedule or location.
Cadet classes typically form the pipeline for new law enforcement personnel and include classroom instruction, physical conditioning and practical skills training before recruits assume patrol or other duties. Agencies across the country rely on such programs to maintain staffing levels and update training to reflect changing public safety needs.
The department did not release additional information in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
