Mississippi auditor donates 100 laptops to National Guard
The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor announced it recently donated 100 laptops to the Mississippi National Guard, the office said in a Facebook post.
The announcement did not provide further details about the timing or distribution of the devices. The office said, “We’re proud to support the men and women who dedicate themselves to fighting for our country.”
The Office of the State Auditor is responsible for auditing public funds and promoting accountability in state and local government. Donations of equipment from government offices and partners can help support administrative functions, training and communication for military units that carry out both state and federal missions.
The Mississippi National Guard serves both domestic missions, such as disaster response, and federal deployments overseas. Officials did not release additional information about how the laptops will be used or which units will receive them. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
