Mississippi agents arrest man in Tupelo during meth trafficking raid
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant at a residence in Tupelo and arrested 34-year-old Christopher Clay Beckwith on multiple drug charges, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol and DPS Interdiction Unit assisted the bureau in the operation, the department said in a Facebook post. Authorities said the investigation focused on trafficking of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.
Officials reported seizing approximately 603.2 grams of methamphetamine, about 30.7 grams of cocaine and approximately 21.0 grams of MDMA (ecstasy). They also recovered approximately two grams of ketamine; 31 dosage units of alprazolam (Xanax); 13 dosage units of unknown white pills; three dosage units of unknown orange pills; approximately 40.4 grams of an unknown brown powder; two ledger books; two working digital scales; and $1,360 in U.S. currency, which authorities said is believed to be proceeds from illegal sales.
Beckwith was charged with aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine; trafficking of cocaine; possession with intent to sell or deliver hallucinogens; possession with intent to sell or deliver synthetic stimulants; and possession with intent to sell or deliver MDMA (ecstasy), the department said.
