Lowndes County posts weekly wanted persons bulletin

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office posted a Warrant Wednesday weekly wanted persons bulletin on its Facebook page notifying the public that several individuals had active warrants at the time of the posting, the office said.

The sheriff’s office cautioned that warrant status can change and that some warrants listed may no longer be active when viewed. The post also reminded readers that all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The bulletin asked anyone with information about the whereabouts of the individuals to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. To remain anonymous, the post directed tips to Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-530-7151 or by submitting information via the P3Tips app.

Law enforcement agencies often publish weekly wanted lists to solicit public help locating suspects and to enhance community safety, while balancing public notice with due-process protections. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
