Jackson police seek help identifying suspect in Cooper Road homicide
Jackson Police Department is asking the public to help identify the man shown in a surveillance photo in connection with the Oct. 19 homicide of 22-year-old Melvin Bass at the Valero gas station on Cooper Road, the department said in a Facebook post.
Anyone with information is asked to contact JPD at 601-960-1278 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477), the department said. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 if a tip leads to an arrest and does not require callers to provide their names, only information about the crime.
The Jackson Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Jackson, Mississippi, responsible for investigating violent crimes and maintaining public safety. Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit program that works with law enforcement to solicit anonymous tips and offer rewards to encourage community cooperation.
