Intermittent road closures affect Kites and Rainbows Run route
Organizers said in a Facebook post that intermittent road closures will affect streets along the route of the Kites and Rainbows Run on April 11, 2026. Temporary closures are expected from about 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. as officers assist runners through intersections.
The event schedule posted by organizers lists an aquathlon at 7:30 a.m., a 10K run, 5K run and 5K walk starting at 7:45 a.m., and a kids fun run at 9 a.m. Road closures and controlled intersections will accompany the race activities.
Community road races often require short-term traffic controls to protect participants and volunteers. Motorists traveling in the area should expect intermittent delays and consider allowing extra travel time or using alternate routes while closures are in effect. Local law enforcement will manage intersections to help runners cross safely, organizers said.
