Hinds County Sheriff’s Office honors staff at 2025 fourth-quarter awards

Hinds County Sheriff’s Office said it held its 2025 fourth-quarter awards ceremony this week to recognize employees for dedication, professionalism and years of service, according to a post on the agency’s Facebook page.

The post said tenured employees were honored for long-standing service, while administrative, detention and operations personnel were acknowledged for their daily contributions to public safety. Retirees were also recognized for years of faithful service and for the legacy they leave within the agency, the post said.

Sheriff Tyree D. Jones thanked those recognized, writing, “To every employee recognized: thank you for your service, your professionalism, and your unwavering commitment to protecting and serving our community.” The ceremony and acknowledgements reflect the role the sheriff’s office plays in law enforcement and public safety across Hinds County.
