Gulfport Police welcomes four new employees
The Gulfport Police Department said in a Facebook post Thursday that it has added four new members to its staff: Community Service Officer Alex Kenney, Officer Shane Clark, Dispatcher Robyn Niezgoda and Community Service Officer Coleman Clark.
The department said it is proud to have the newcomers on board and looks forward to the impact they will make serving the community. The post included the hashtags #GulfportProud, #Family, #NewBeginnings and #Welcome.
Community service officers typically handle non-emergency public safety duties, assist with community outreach and support sworn officers, while dispatchers answer emergency calls and coordinate officer response. Those roles are a routine part of municipal policing and public safety operations.
The Gulfport Police Department serves the city of Gulfport and conducts routine recruiting and onboarding to maintain staffing levels and community engagement. Residents are encouraged to join the department in welcoming the new employees. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
