Gulfport man faces aggravated domestic assault, aggravated assault charges
The Gulfport Police Department said in a news release posted to its Facebook page that officers arrested 35-year-old Shaun Andrew Lawler on March 2 and charged him with aggravated domestic assault and aggravated assault after responding to a report of a cutting at about 9:40 p.m. in the 2800 block of Palmer Drive.
Officers found two victims suffering multiple lacerations, the department said. Both victims were transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition.
The department said Lawler was located a short time later and taken into custody. The investigation revealed the incident stemmed from Lawler reportedly being awake for several days due to the use of narcotics.
Lawler was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held on a $400,000 bond, the release said. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
