Group joins Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

An organization announced it will participate in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on May 7, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., the group said in a Facebook post. The one-mile run will begin and end at Crosby Commons Park on Goodyear Boulevard.

The Facebook post extended an open invitation to any individual or organization interested in running with the group. Organizers encouraged community members to join the short route, which the post said starts and finishes at the park.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an annual campaign that raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes, typically involving law enforcement officers, community volunteers and partner organizations. Events such as one-mile runs, torch relays and fundraising activities aim to promote inclusion and support sports programs for people with intellectual disabilities.

The announcement did not include additional logistical details. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
