Family thanks community after Starkville officer injured in Saturday crash
The family of Colby Huffman thanked the public for support after the Starkville officer was injured in a Saturday accident, saying in a Facebook post that messages and prayers have been overwhelming.
“We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time,” the family said. They thanked family, friends, the Starkville community and agencies within and outside the state, and said they appreciated the Starkville Police Department’s constant support and guidance.
The family said Huffman “is still in critical condition but remains stable” and asked for continued prayers for a full recovery. They included a scripture verse: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1.
