Deputies investigate early-morning burglary at B&A Food Market

LEE COUNTY, Miss. — Lee County deputies are investigating a burglary at B&A Food Market east of Mooreville after a business alarm sounded early Saturday, Sheriff Jim H. Johnson said in a Facebook post.

Deputies were dispatched about 2:19 a.m. and arrived at 3836 Highway 178 at about 2:23 a.m., Johnson said. Investigators found the front door glass broken and searched the store, formerly known as Jack’s Store, but did not locate any suspects inside.

Surveillance footage reviewed by deputies shows one suspect, described as a white male about 40 years old, forcing entry and committing the burglary, Johnson said. A second suspect, also believed to be a white male of similar age, was seen waiting in the parking lot during the incident.
