Crime Stoppers presents challenge coins to Harrison County law academy class
Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers recently presented challenge coins to Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy Class 2026-1 in recognition of the cadets’ commitment to public service and the profession of law enforcement, the organization said.
CEO Lori Massey met with the cadets during the visit and discussed how Crime Stoppers supports law enforcement agencies and enhances public safety, the organization said. Massey outlined the group’s role in fostering community partnerships, encouraging anonymous tip reporting and offering reward incentives to generate leads.
The cadets showed particular interest in the program’s unsolved homicide and missing persons case playing cards, which are designed to generate tips and keep cold cases in the public eye, Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers said. Such materials are used by Crime Stoppers programs to raise awareness and encourage community involvement.
The organization said it is honored to support the next generation of officers and wished members of Class 2026-1 safe, successful and impactful careers in law enforcement.
