Crews clean storm debris on West College Street; expect delays
Crews clearing storm debris will cause traffic delays on West College Street to U.S. 45 starting Wednesday, March 25, at 7 a.m., a Facebook post said. Motorists were urged to use caution while traveling through the area.
The social media advisory said the delays are due to crews working to clean up storm debris and asked for motorists’ patience and cooperation. The post thanked the community for its understanding as crews work to keep the area safe.
Storm debris can include downed branches, leaves and other material that can create driving hazards and impede traffic. Removing that debris is a routine response by road maintenance crews and public works departments after severe weather to restore safe travel conditions.
U.S. 45 is a major north-south route in the region, and delays on connectors such as West College Street can affect local commutes and deliveries. Motorists should allow extra travel time and watch for workers and equipment in the roadway. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
