Cpl. Donald recently visited Lil Leaps Academy in Lee County to take part in the preschool’s show-and-tell, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said on its Facebook page.
The sheriff’s office said students learned about his job, saw some of his equipment and asked many questions. The visit was pictured and posted by the sheriff’s office, which thanked Lil Leaps Academy for the invitation.
Community visits by law enforcement are a common outreach effort intended to build trust, familiarize children with public safety roles and provide basic safety information. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for Lee County, Mississippi, and routinely engages with local schools and community organizations.
