Cottontails go as Vicksburg Youth Services launches family movie night
City of Vicksburg Youth Services announced on its Facebook page that “Cottontails a GO!” will include a family movie night in a city park tonight, with activities for children and a hunt for a Golden Bunny, the agency said.
The post described children laughing and playing near the event area during the day and said that when the sun goes down families will gather to watch a movie outdoors. Participants who find the Golden Bunny are asked to take a picture at the location and tag City of Vicksburg Youth Services, the post said.
The city youth services office typically organizes programs and events aimed at providing recreational and educational opportunities for young people and families. Outdoor movie nights and small scavenger-style activities are common ways municipalities encourage community engagement and safe, family-friendly outings.
