Corinth Police welcome two new patrolmen as recruits graduate Thursday
The Corinth Police Department announced on its Facebook page that two recruits will graduate Thursday and begin their careers with the agency.
The department posted, “Congratulations to our newest recruits graduating on Thursday and beginning their careers at the Corinth Police Dept. Welcome aboard Patrolman Kelsey Tucker and Patrolman Eli Buse!” The post identified the two officers by name as they start patrol duties.
Graduation from recruit training generally marks the completion of basic instruction in law enforcement skills, legal procedures and community policing. For new officers, the transition from recruit to patrol duties is a key step in taking on responsibilities such as responding to calls, enforcing laws and engaging with residents.
The addition of new patrol officers can strengthen department staffing and community safety, officials say in general about such hirings. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
