Coahoma County sheriff attends rural law enforcement conference in Arlington

Coahoma County Sheriff Magsby attended the Small and Rural Law Enforcement Executives Association conference in Arlington, Virginia, last week, the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Officials said sheriffs from across the country met to discuss the unique challenges officers face at different stages of their careers and to identify training and support mechanisms that help them grow, adapt and better serve their communities.

The Small and Rural Law Enforcement Executives Association is a national organization that focuses on issues facing leadership in smaller and rural agencies, including training, resource sharing and policy development. Such gatherings aim to tailor solutions to departments that often operate with limited personnel and budgets.

The sheriff’s office said Sheriff Magsby is committed to bringing back insights and resources to strengthen the agency and enhance public safety and service. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
