Clinton police seek help identifying person tied to thefts

The Clinton Police Department is asking the public to help identify an individual in connection with multiple ongoing theft investigations in the City of Clinton, the department said in a post shared by Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers on Facebook.

Several theft incidents have been reported over the past several months, investigators said. Detectives obtained photographs of an individual who may have information relevant to the cases, but the images are not clear enough for a positive identification.

Anyone whose information leads to an arrest could be eligible for up to a $2,500 reward, officials said. People with tips can call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477) or submit them online at https://www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=116#.

Crime Stoppers programs allow community members to submit anonymous tips and often offer rewards in exchange for information that leads to arrests. Investigators urged residents who recognize the person in the photos to come forward.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
