Chief Rashall Brackney visited with Precinct 3 Bravo Shift officers and supervisors this afternoon, the department said in a Facebook post.
The post said officers embraced the opportunity to speak candidly about what they believe is needed to move the department forward. Chief Brackney wrote that she is committed to supporting them by listening to their concerns and working to provide training opportunities and equipment they need to do their jobs effectively.
Meetings between police leadership and shift-level officers are a routine way for commanders to hear frontline concerns, assess training needs and discuss equipment priorities. Such exchanges can affect morale, operational practices and decisions about resource allocation within a department.
