Biloxi police swear in two as full-time officers

Officer Lampman and Officer Williams were sworn in today as full-time Biloxi Police Department officers, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said the swearing-in was a special event because both officers are already part of the BPD family. Lampman previously served as a reserve officer, and Williams has worked as a full-time civilian employee with the department for the past two years.

The Biloxi Police Department provides law enforcement and public safety services for the city of Biloxi on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including patrol, investigations and community policing. Police departments commonly appoint or hire personnel who have prior experience with the agency to preserve institutional knowledge and help maintain continuity in operations.

The department said it looks forward to seeing how the officers continue to grow and serve the community. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
