Baptist Healthplex members deliver supplies to Community Animal Rescue & Adoption
CLINTON — Members of the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton organized a donation drive this week and delivered a large collection of supplies for dogs and cats to Community Animal Rescue & Adoption, known as CARA, shelter officials said.
CARA said the outpouring of generosity left staff and volunteers overwhelmed with gratitude. “We are absolutely blown away by their generosity,” the organization said in a statement. CARA added that a photo shared by the shelter captured only a portion of the donated items and did not reflect the full scope of the gifts.
Shelter officials said CARA relies heavily on community support to provide food, medical care and safe housing for animals awaiting adoption. They said acts of kindness such as the Healthplex drive help the organization continue its mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need.
CARA extended a thank-you to everyone who participated, saying the donations will make a direct impact on the animals in its care. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
