Authorities arrest two Vicksburg homicide suspects in Indiana

KOKOMO, Ind. — Authorities arrested two men in Kokomo, Indiana, who were wanted in connection with a recent Vicksburg, Mississippi, homicide, the Vicksburg Police Department said Monday.

The department identified the suspects as 18-year-old Quintin Wilson and 18-year-old Arkeyveion Stamps. Both are charged with first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Jaylon Walker of Hermanville, who was found dead inside a vehicle on U.S. Highway 61 South in Vicksburg on Feb. 11, police said.

Wilson and Stamps were taken into custody in Kokomo and are being held pending extradition to Mississippi, the Vicksburg Police Department said. The department said the arrests were made with assistance from multiple agencies.

The Vicksburg Police Department thanked the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, Kokomo Police Department, Howard County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police for their help and said the investigation is ongoing.
