Vicksburg program seeks next generation of innovators
Organizers are urging local families to sign up for a youth technology program in Vicksburg, saying spaces are limited. A Facebook post encouraged residents to “build the next generation of innovators” and directed interested participants to a provided online registration form.
The post used the hashtags #GirlandGadgets, #VicksburgYouth and #STEMCamp, suggesting the initiative focuses on science, technology, engineering and math opportunities for young people. It also included tags referencing #FutureEngineers, #CityofVicksburg and #YouthInTech.
Local STEM programs aim to give students hands-on experience with technology and encourage interest in related careers. Community and municipal involvement in such efforts can help expand access to training and address workforce needs in engineering and tech fields, educators and program planners often say.
Details in the social media post were limited to the call to sign up and the registration link. Organizers said registration is available through the online form and that enrollment will be limited. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
