Grenada eighth-graders represent state at LEGO League World Championship

Eighth-grade students from Grenada School District, recognized for excellence in research, innovation and robotics, will represent their state at the inaugural LEGO League World Championship in Houston, Texas, the district announced on its Facebook page.

The team, identified by the district as Pure Imagination .5, earned local recognition for work in research, innovation and robotics. The LEGO League World Championship brings together student teams from across the globe to compete in robotics challenges and present research projects that address real-world problems.

Grenada School District is a local public school system that serves the community’s K-12 students. Participation in international competitions provides students with experience in teamwork, engineering and public presentation and can raise the profile of school-based STEM programs.
