Reeves helps cut ribbon on Hunter Engineering $10M plant in Durant
Gov. Tate Reeves said in a Facebook post that he was in Durant, Mississippi, to help cut the ribbon on Hunter Engineering’s $10 million manufacturing facility, calling the project an example of “Made in the USA.”
Reeves posted that the facility is a “world-class American manufacturing” site, and included photos of the event on his official Facebook page. The post did not provide additional details about job numbers or a timeline for operations.
Hunter Engineering is known for making equipment used in automotive service and wheel alignment, and investments in manufacturing facilities are often highlighted by state leaders as a way to bolster local economies and supply chains. A $10 million investment can signal expansion of production capacity and potential economic activity for Durant and surrounding areas.
State and local officials typically coordinate ribbon-cutting events to promote economic development projects. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
