Reeves breaks ground on Howard Industries $100M expansion in Jones County

Gov. Tate Reeves said in a Facebook post that state officials and company representatives broke ground on Howard Industries’ $100 million expansion in Jones County, part of what he described as a larger $300 million investment in Mississippi by the company.

Reeves wrote, “More Made in the USA! Today, we broke new ground on Howard Industries’ $100 million expansion in Jones County. It’s part of a larger $300 million investment in Mississippi by the company.” He added that the facility will “help power the next generation of growth in our state and America, while playing a massive role in advancing the economy of tomorrow.”

The announcement highlights continued efforts by state and local leaders to attract and expand manufacturing investment, which officials say can boost employment, expand the tax base and support regional supply chains. Jones County is among several Mississippi localities that have sought to benefit from industrial growth in recent years.

Details about project timelines, expected job creation and the specific role of the new facility were not included in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
