Officer-involved shooting in Jackson

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on March 31 at approximately 7 a.m. near 1533 Raymond Road, in Jackson.  

The U.S. Marshals Service attempted to serve an arrest warrant to a residence on Raymond Road.

While executing the warrant, a subject presented a weapon towards officers. The subject sustained minor injuries, and no officers were injured.

MBI is currently assessing the incident and gathering evidence. After completing the investigation, agents will share their findings with the Attorney General’s Office.
