C&W Embroidery expands in Alcorn County
- Company to create 32 new jobs
- Project represents corporate investment of approximately $2.4 million
C&W Companies, a family-owned business and one of the largest contract embroidery and screen print firms in the U.S., is expanding its C&W Embroidery operations in Alcorn County. The expansion is a $2.4 million corporate investment that will create 32 new jobs and drive growth for the company.
“Mississippi welcomes C&W Companies’ investment into its embroidery business in Corinth, as well as the dozens of job opportunities that it will create for Alcorn County residents,” said Gov. Tate Reeves. “We’re committed to providing businesses like C&W Embroidery with the supportive economic climate necessary to continue growing, expanding, and achieving further success. Mississippi is open for business.”
C&W Embroidery specializes in the embroidery, screen printing and digital printing of logos on apparel, headwear and footwear. To accommodate future growth, the company is constructing an approximately 15,000-square-foot building on the property, renovating existing buildings and investing in new equipment.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for building construction and renovations. The town of Rienzi and Alcorn County also will assist with the project.
“Job creation is our top priority, and we take pride in assisting C&W Embroidery as the company adds jobs in its community,” said Mississippi Development Authority Deputy Executive Director Laura Hipp.
“This expansion will have a positive impact on the area’s economy as it will strengthen the local tax base, and these 32 new employees will give back to the local community by spending at the area’s restaurants, shops and more. Economic development wins such as this are truly instrumental in creating stronger, more vibrant communities.”
C&W Embroidery’s customers include Nike, Johnnie-O, Carhartt, Outdoor Cap, UniFirst and more than 50 colleges and universities.
“The company has experienced significant growth coming out of the pandemic and the capital investment and expansion plan will continue to drive future growth, profitability, and community development,” said C&W Companies Owner and Vice-President Will Carnell. “Our people are the key to our success, and we look forward to adding to our talented workforce. We appreciate the partnership with the MDA and look forward to working with this team on future economic and community development projects.”
